Getting Started
The website design is anchored in the current work and directions of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the high school outcomes of the State Superintendent's high school task force. The four core recommendations of the State Superintendent's High School Task Force Report (November 2006):
- Partnerships
- Authentic Learning
- Innovation
- Lifelong Learning Plans
This site is structured so you can begin your search by focusing on a specific recommendation. If you want general information regarding one of the recommendations you can click on the diagram. To do a deeper search based on your interest (employer, educator, policy maker, or family and community member) you can click on "my role" on the left hand toolbar and click on the appropriate tab. This will take you to a focused area that will list resources appropriate to your particular interest. The .pdf file of the entire task force report is listed under the resources tab under DPI. You also have access to the framework for 21st century learning and frequently asked questions by clicking on the left hand toolbar.
